Vladimir Malakhov

Born in 1958.
1980 — Graduated from Leningrad State University, Department of Philosophy.
1983–1986 — MA, Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences of the USSR (now Russian Academy of Sciences).
1987 — PhD at the Department of History of Philosophy, Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences of the USSR (now Russian Academy of Sciences) on the topic “The Problem of Tradition in Hans Georg Gadamer’s Hermeneutics”.
2004–2014 — Leading Research Fellow, Institute of Philosophy, Russian Academy of Sciences.
Since 2014 — a freelance researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Malakhov is also director of the Centre for Theoretical and Applied Political Science (RANEPA).
Vladimir Malakhov is author of numerous books and publications on the history of foreign philosophy, problems of nationalism and political science.
Lives in Moscow.
