1987 — Candidate of Sciences (PhD) in Sociological Sciences. Institute of Sociology of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Thesis Title: The methodology of longitudinal studies in Germany.
1988–1992 — Researcher at the Institute for Socio-Economic Problems at the Russian Academy of Sciences.
1992–2000 — Senior scientist, and in 2000–2009, leading researcher at IS RAS.
2013 — Doctor of Sciences in Theory, History and Methods of Sociology Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Thesis Title: Biography as social phenomena and the subject of sociological analysis.
Since 2009 Rozhdestvenskaya has been a professor at the Higher School of Economics, Department of Sociology and Department of Analysis of Social Institutions.
